Born in Richmond, Vermont, but raised by social media, Devon Preston’s love for writing was ignited by The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont and Syracuse University’s summer creative writing program.

Her passion led her to Hofstra University, where she majored in journalism and minored in creative writing and women’s studies. While at Hofstra, Devon led her college’s chapter of Her Campus as the vice president for three semesters and completed internships for Offbeat Bride, Inked, and Bust.

Upon earning her bachelor’s degree in just three years, Devon moved to New York City full-time and was soon hired as a junior editor at Inked. During her first year at Inked, Devon honed her editing skills and had the opportunity to interview Ink Master winner Ryan Ashley Malarkey, as well as, Ty Dolla $ign.

In January of 2018, Devon was promoted to associate editor and went on to interview Post Malone for his first magazine cover, as well as, entertainment icon Tommy Chong. Devon’s passion for multi-media journalism soon led her to an exciting new opportunity, as a producer for Inked’s YouTube channel. She has contributed to the channel’s viral success by casting and writing scripts for the company’s most successful series: Tattoo Artists React.

Devon currently holds the title of executive editor for Inked Magazine and lead editor for Rebel Circus

Outside of her job as a full-time editor, Devon splits her time between The Bachelor and RuPaul’s Drag Race fandoms, tasting the cuisine at NYC’s finest vegan restaurants, and helping animals in need at her neighborhood’s humane society.
